Questions about this build

Will the receptionist know the difference between a no-heat emergency and a routine service call?

Yes, and that separation is the first thing it establishes. It asks whether there is heat or cooling in the property at all, whether anyone vulnerable is present, and the age of the equipment, then routes to the on-call technician or the next morning's schedule on those answers. You set the thresholds, so if you only dispatch overnight for a total loss of heat below a given outdoor temperature, that is the rule it follows.

Does this handle maintenance plans, or only one-off jobs?

Maintenance plans are handled throughout. Plan status and renewal date are custom fields on the contact, seasonal automation pulls plan holders into the spring and autumn changeover visits ahead of the general list, and lapsed renewals feed the reactivation campaign. The plan tier also controls which reminder cadence a customer receives.

We install several equipment brands and our pricing changes every year. How much rework is that?

Very little, because brands, tiers, dispatch fees and after-hours rates are held as custom values rather than typed into individual messages. Changing the diagnostic charge or adding a manufacturer updates every message, page and template that references it. The equipment pages on the website are the one place that still takes manual editing.

Will the review requests annoy customers we already see twice a year on a maintenance plan?

No, because the ask is capped rather than triggered by every visit. A plan holder seen for a spring and an autumn check is asked once, not each time, and anyone with an open warranty callback is excluded until it closes. The target is a steady five to ten reviews a month across the whole customer base, not maximum volume from your most frequent customers.

Our busy season is chaos and our slow season is empty. Does anything here change that?

The seasonal automation is built for exactly that shape.
