Questions about this build

Can it tell an emergency from a job that can wait until Monday?

That is the first thing it establishes on every call. It asks whether water is escaping, whether the supply has been isolated, and which fixture is involved, then routes to the on-call technician or to the next scheduled slot. You define the rule, so if you only dispatch overnight for uncontrolled water or a total loss of supply, it follows that and schedules the rest for the morning.

Will it give out prices?

Only the ranges you set as custom values, never a firm quote on a job nobody has seen. The call-out charge and the after-hours rate are stated plainly, because a caller who is not told will ask a competitor instead, and diagnostics-first pricing is explained rather than dodged. Anything that depends on what is behind the wall is left for the technician.

We already use a field service platform for dispatch. Does this conflict with it?

No, they do different jobs and most plumbing companies end up running both. Your field service software owns the schedule board, the technicians and the invoicing; this owns everything before the job exists and everything after it closes — the two-in-the-morning call, the quote that went quiet, the review, the reactivation.
